This general pressure distribution has been attended by precipitation throughout Alaska, followed by clearing this morning at Cordova and Kodiak, also cver the Bering Sea region. Excessive rain fell at Cordova, the 24-hour amount ending at 4 p.m. yesterday was 8.76 inches, which is the greatest 24-hour amount on record at that station for any October since w:ather records began there.
