The new company headed by Earl Ohmer, well known shrimp packer of Petersburg, commenced operations on Monday of last week with a full crew. George Hedemark or Seattle and a former Alaskan, will manage the Wrangell cannery business of this locality. He stated that a crew of y ifty pickers has been maintained since the cannery started, with two men serving as processors, namely Henry Scribner and Wm. Taylor. Improvements have been made within the building making it more pleasant for the cannery worke: and speeding up production.
