WEATHER SYNOPSIS The storm area noted yesterday morning over the North Pacific Ocean has move rapidly northeastward during the past 24 hours and this morning it was centered a short distance southwest of Kodiak, where a reading of 2890 inches was reported. The barometric ®pressure has risen rapidly over Southeast Alaska and southwest to the Hawalian Islands, the crest being 30.60 inches about 600 miles west of the Columbia River. This general pressure distribution has been attended by precipitation along the coastal regions from the Aleutians to Dixon Enfrance, by snow over the lower Yukon Valley, and by generally fair weather ove: the Tanana Valley and the Arc- tic coast.
