WEATHER SYNOPSIS High barometric pressure prevailed this morning from the west- ern portion of the Aleutian Islands eastward to Dawseon, thence southward over the Pacific Ocean to latitude 40 degrees north, there being two crests, one over the Aleutians and another over the Paeific Ocean about 1,000 miles west of Prince Rupert. A storm area pre- vailed over the Bering Sea from Nome northward to .Barrow. This general pressure distribution has been attended by précipitation from Nome southeastward to the northern portion of Southeast Alaska, followed by clearing weather this morning over most of Alaska, ex- cept from the Seward Peninsula northward where rains and south- west gales were reported.
