WEATHER SYNOPSIS A storm area has developed ovor the Gulf of Alaska during the past 12 hours, the lowest reportel pressure being 29.50 inches a short distance south of Cordova. ' High barometric pressure pre- vailed from the Alaskan Arctic coast southeastward to the Rocky Mountain ‘States, the crest having moved from Dawson to Forf Smith, where a pressure of-30.98 iiches was recorded. Another low pressure area prevailed over the Pacific Ocean from the Aleutian 1slands southward to the Hawaiia1 Islands. This general pressure distribution has been attended by precipitation from the lower Kus- kokwim Valley southeastward to Sutheast Alaska, elsewhere over Al- aska fair weather prevailed.
