WEATHER SYNOPSIS The storm area noted yesterday as being over the Gulf of Alaska has remained about stationary and this morning it was centered a short ditsance west of Sitka the 1o vest reported. pressure being .29.00 inches. Indications this morning that the storm center would move southward. High barometric pressure continued over the interior and northern portions of Alaska, the crest being 30.36 inches at Fair- banks. Precipitation has been general from Southeast Alaska south- ward to Oregon, and over the Bering Sea region, elsewhere over the field of observation fair weather continued. Intensely cold weather prevailed over the Tanana and Yukon Valleys, the lowest temperature at Fairbanks being 59 degrees be- low zero, which equals the previpus December minimum since the beginning of weather records at that place in 1904¢.
