WEATHER SYNOPSIS A storm area of marked intensity was centered this morning over the North Pacific Ocean a short distance south of the Aleutians where a pressure of 28.70 inches was reported. Another low pressure area of less intensity was charted over the Gulf of Cordova southward to Van- couver Island, the lowest reported pressure being 29.50 inches about 3tJ miles west of Dixon Entrance. High barometric pressure prevailed over the interior and northern portions of Alaska. This general pressure distribution has been attended by rains and gales over the Aleutians and rains from Southeast Alaska southward to Oregon and by mostly fair weather over the interior, western, and northern portions of Alaska. Seasonable temperatures were recorded at Fairbanks and Dawson today while abnormally cold weather prevailed over the Bering Sea const and the Arctic coast.
