Mike Pusich, owner, and one of; the pioneer tax-payers of Douglas has worked night and day with de- signers and workmen to prepare the place for the opening. Paul Brown and His Islanders, new (five-piece orchestra, will be hand from the word “go” with melodious arrangements of all dance tunes. An especially-constructed or- chestra pit has been built for the musicians, with all ball-room light- ing effects controlled from t.he or- chestra stand. Seats For 200 Seating arrangements for over 200 people has been assured, in booths, tables, tap room, and private party rooms. After tonight, Mr. Pusich stated that the private party rooms will be open for reservation for those wishing to enjoy the beauty and: service of Dreamland after a pri-| vate party. . Tonight, however, the entire beau- ty spot is wide open with a hearty' welcome from Douglas Island, and| the management hopes to serve all amid surroundings that are de- signed to appeal to-the finest tastes. Design Is “Amazing” Outstanding among the many features of Dreamland is the amaz- ing interior decoration designed by Eugene DeRusette, late of New York City. Each of the winning teams took two out of three games. The Cyclones administered de- feat to the Gophers, the Wolverines| == outbowled the Buckeyes and the Irish beat the Badgers. The best total score for the eve- ning was made by Nick Bavard of the Wolverines, who accumulated 547 points. John Halm, of the Buck- Redman with 517 for third place nosed out R. E.
