Mrs. Livie is the former Miss Ednah Reinhart. The wedding took place recenty in Chicago. Mr. Livie is Masier Mechanic for the Alaska Juneau Gold Mining Company. - Joseph Simpson To Celebrate an Anniversary Soon October twenty-first will have a special significance to “Newcomer™ Joseph Simpson. it is the twentieth | anniversary of his arrival in Ju~| neau. Simpson, who now lives on a 1omestead just north of the Doug- las Bridge, has had a variegated| career in this city. Coming here in| 1915, he was first employed at An- nex Creek and later by the AsJ and| the sawmill. Still later, he opened the Scandi-| navian Grocery, which he sold to| Pete Hammer in 1921. i He then moved to Douglas where | he lived until 1929. At that time he homesteaded just north of where| the Douglas Bridge is now located.
