WEATHER SYNOPSIS The baromteric pressure was high this morning from South- east Alaska southward to Oregon, the crest being 30.42 inches at Edmonton, Alberta. A storm area of marked intensity covered the greater portion of Alaska this morning, the lowest reported pres- sure being 28.70 inches over the Kuskokwimi Bay. This general pres- sure distribution ahs been attended by precipitation from the Sew- drd Peninsula southward to Ketchikan, the rain being excessive at Cordova, where 3.28 inches has fallen during the past 24 hours. Southeast gales were reported over the Gulk, Kodiak having report- ed a velocity of 40 miles from the southeast.
