High pressure prevailed over the Pacifi¢ Coast States thence westward to the Hawaiian and Midway Islands. This general pressure distribution has been accompanied by rains along the coastal region from Unalaska southward to British Co- lumbia and by fair weather over the remainder of the field of ob- servation.
