Originally scheduled to start fish- ing operations in the first week of March, the Juneau halibuters had stood in unity with fishermen from other Alaskan ports and Se- attle in an attempt to establish a minimum price scale with coast ouyers. Steel Brought Another unusual item of the Victoria's visit yesterday was her rnoon call at Douglas where 120 tons of steel girders for the| Lawson Creek bridge were dis-| charged. Work on this bridge, a| factor in the Douglas Highway which will cohnect that city with; the Juneau-Douglas bridge, will start soon. The “Vic” arrived at Juneau’s Pacific Coast Dock at 9:50 o'clock Sunday forenoon and left for Douz- las at 11:15 o'clock. A return to the Alaska Juneau Dock here was made last night before the vessel pro- ceeded to Skagway. | Forty-three persons wer2 brought to Juneau by the Victoria, 14 of them coming from Southeast Al-| aska ports.
