Gunnar Blomgren, who for the last three years has served as president, was honored yesterdgy afternoon as she presided at her Iast meeting of the Martha Society of the Northern Light Presbyterian Church. Recently, Mrs. Charles Sgy was elected to succeed Mrs. Blom-~ 'gren. The occasion was the regular March social meeting which was held in the church parlors. Mrs. Blomgren, highly pralsed for her efficlent work, was sented with a silver tea set by her fellow members. Rev. Giasse Speaks The Rev. John A. Glasse tqllawed this presentation with a mock hum- orous speech which, nevertheless, also showed his appreciation of Mrs, Blomgren's work. April 1, it was announced, will mark the annual business meeting of the church, and the society will sponsor a covered dish dinner, to which all members of the church, their families and all friends of the church have been invited. There will be no admission price to this dinner. On April 9, the Martha Society will sponsor its annual public din- ner.
