Mr. Kane is returning from a six weeks com- bined buying and pleasure trip to Seattle, Tacoma and other Pacific Coast ports. SITKA WILL GET FREIGHT; KENAI TAKES CARGO ON Vessel Leaves Here Last Night—Met Yukon at Skagway Sitka and ports between that city and Juneau will not go with- __ out freight, despite Juneau's pres- ent longshore strike. The Kenai, vessel which serves those com- munities on a weekly ineau, departed for Sitka last ght at 7:30 o'clock with freight aboard. The Kenai had made run to Skagway, where Sitka and way ports freight was transferred from the Yukon. The Yukon had been prevented from unloadinz cargo here by striking longshore- men. The Kenai arrived here at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, dis- ch.ugcd 14 passengers and left ly afterwards with 11 per- sons aboard from this port. A larg delegation of longshoremen were, at the Pacific Coast Dock when the Kenai was berthed, but there was no interference as Agent R. J.
