Pierce, aged 44 years, former Vice- President and Manager of the de- funct Home Savings and Loan As- sociation ‘of this city, died yester- day in the prison hospital at Walla Walla where he was serving a 20 to 60 year sentence following con- viction of charges growing out of the collapse of his financial enter- prises. Fierce died as a result of agina pectoris. He had served less than one year of his term. He had been in the hospital practically all of the time he was in the Walla Walla prison.
