Grummett By the narrow margin of one game, the Smith-Coronas won the C League championship in the Elks’ bowling competition Saturday night at the Elks’ Alleys. The win- ners trimmed the Spark Oil Heat- ers, 2 to 1, while the Purola trio smissed a chance to tie for the lead by dropping cne game to the Mojuds. The finish of the C League play was the closest of all loops, exeept in the B circuit, where a playoff between two teams is necessary. In the C League, there was only one and a half games separating the first and fourth-place teams. On the winning Smith-Corona trio are: Mrs. M. Hunt, Tom Selby and Ed Radde. Saturday night's play was fea- tured by the 567 and 214 bowling of Radde for the Smith-Coronas. | This team also copped high team scering marks with figures of 4,455 “and 519. Mrs. H. L.
