The groundwork for these has al- ready been laid,” he said He is also encouraged over the outlook for establishment of an aerial mail service in Alaska. He is to meet Harllee Branch, Assist- ant Postmaster General, on his arrival here next week from Se- attle, and with Gov. Troy aud others confer with him on that project. He is hopeful that this will result in a concrete proposition that will lead to the early realiza- tion of the Territory's dream for air mail, and airways equipped with all modern facilities. Pre-<ing Home Rule Bills “I am not discouraged over the outlook for a greater measure of Home Rule for the Territory,” Delegate Dimond said. “Already we have been given more powers than we have ever had before. Our ature now can fix the dates of elections. It has the sole juris- diction over the liquor traffic. These powers were formerly vested in Congress. “The measures to give it power to control the fisheries, game and fur resources have been given fair hearings in committees of the House. I shall press the for consideration at the next ion of Congress. It is too early vet to be able to predict that they will pass, but I am hopeful that we will be able to get Congress to give us something to say about how they are administered,” he added. Will Speak Here Plans for a public meeting dur- ing the Delegate's stay here are under way. A definite date will be fixed by Monday. He probably will be here for a week or more. He will also be a guest of the local Bar Association within the next few days. The Delegate was greeted by a large number of friends at the dock when the steamer Alaska ar- rived here. He is a guest at the Gastineau.
