B e Juneau Has Hottest Day Yesterday In Six-Year Period Juneau yesterday had its hot- test day in six years, and one of the warmest ever recorded when the thermometer of the United States Weather Bureau station registered 84.7 degrees. This reading occurred between | 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. The big thermometer at Bur- ford’s Corner, on the Seward Street side of the building was about one degrce higher at the same time. Not since July 3, 1928, has that mark been reached here. On that date it stcod at an even 85, and on August 3, 1929, it registered 84.6, one-tenth of one. degree lower than yester- day’s high. The highest mark ever re- corded here, said Observer R. C. Mize, is 89, which was ex- perienced on July 29, 1920.
