The game was marked by that lack of interest which always shows up after the Fourth of July| serics, and neither side could mus- | ter up a full roll call. So umpires | turned ball players and the game went on Out of the substitutions, Carl Lottsfeldt for the Moose and Har- ele for the Elks starred.| The former proved to be a cracker-| Jack flI a fielder on first, while “C batted out three. singles the game. Of the rogulars, he Elks made two doubles, triple, and a single to star at the plate. With one away, Lottsfeldt lost Jack Schmitz's throw long enough to allow Koski to first, where he waited as 1dt redeemed himself by Blake's foul f] Then the hitting commenced, with Sabin driving one down the third base line, Livingston following with a double, and Regele and Jernberg with singles. Scoring ceased as Regele was caught sliding into third on Jernberg's single. The Elks’ fifth run in the third was also unearned. Bryan dropped an easy fly of Erskine’s and Claude later scored on MacSpadden's sin- gle. cre added Mocse Score in Third In their half of the third the Moose tightened up the game by getting to Koski for three runs, Lottsfeldt led off with a single, Jack Schmitz walked, and Molly MacSpadden singled to push over| two runs. Warter dumped one in| front of the plate but Blake threw, wild to first and Molly scored with the third run. All was peaceful until the sixth| and then the Elks drove Warter off | the mound. Blake started with a beautiful bunt toward third and went to second on an out. Liv- ingston and Regele singled scoring Blake, and Curly came home after Jernberg flied to center. Regele trotted home ahead of Erskine's three bagger and Claude scored when Ellingsen dropped an easy | fly. The last Elk tally came in the| seventh off Grummett on doubles by Manager Koski and Curley Livingston. Koski weakened a little in the eighth and two runs scored for| the Moose. Both Molly MacSpad- den and Warter scored when Harry | Sabin couldn’t bend down far enough to scoop up Bryan’s ground- er through second. Manager Koski of the Elks thowed that his ball playing days were not over by pitching a good brand of ball on the mound.
