The ordinance, with a minor amendment to clarify its meaning, passed through its second » reading and will be ready for final action at the body's next regular meeting. There was some discussion of the closing of all liquor stores at 1 a.m. until 8 am. and of prohibit- ing the sale of any sort of alcoholic beverages, even in restaurants with meals between the same hours However, no such regulation was written into the ordinance. The Council did pass a resolu- e¢tion ecalling upon the Board of Liquor Control to take that step. It was suggested by H. L. Faulk- ner, City Aftorney, whose opinion /3 was asked for by Mayor I. Gold- | o stein. Members declared they were opposed to closing up licensed places within the city limits unless the Board likewise closed similar places outside of town. Under the Board’s regulations now in ef- fect, places operating under res- ¢ ;aurant licenses are permitted to serve beer with meals at any hour of the day. Harold E. Regele, radio interfer- 4 ence inspector, demonstrated tha new interference detctor rcently purchased by the city. He has al- ready made @ a- partial survey of some of the business area and said he would push the work throughout the city and make a report to the Council as soon as possible. -, Mining Locatin Noiices 1t Em- pl.re office.
