Bu_r; of Indian Af- fairs supply ship North Star, Capt. S. T. L, Whitlam, and Purser G. H. arrived in Juneau this westward points with passengers and supplies. The ship has about 30 stops to make between here and | Lawrence Island, the objective St. of the cruise. Passengers leaving the ship here are Mrs. A. E. Musser and Mrs. W. B. Kimball, with others expected to go aboard when the North Star leaves this evening. There are 25 passengers in all, principally Forest Service men, nurses, teachers, and Road Commission men. Several officials of the Indian Service are aboard, David E. Thomas, Chief of Alaska Education | with offices in Washington, D. S.; Lyman 8. Brewster, Reindeer Su- perintendent at Nome, and L. D. Kinsley, Department of the In- terior inspector. Noah’s Ark The after deck of the North Star takes somewhat the appearance of a Noah's Arch with six cows, one bull, one calf, a pair of goats and a pair of hogs. Five of the cattle, the goats and. the hogs are billed to Kanakanak and the re- mainder go to Seward.
