SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FOR SUMMER ARE OUTLINED ‘The final high jinks attending the moving into the new Govern- ment school and closing of the year's work was held Saturday when an all-day picnic followed by a theatre party was enjoyed by the little folks. Moving began May 19, with a good-bye frolic in the old building. Other high lights were a trip and ice cream party May 23 at which the mothers were guests, and a theatre party May 30. On the serious side, plans for city government for 1934-35 were made. A temporary mayor, council, clerk and marshal were elected. To make the project real, a sum of money has been deposited in the First National Bank at Juneau. The “City” has charge of all school activities, buying supplies and paying by check. Real money is being used in the store, bank, post-office. The value of this move is evident. Domestic art for the coming year has_also begun.
