FISHING BOAT MISSING; FIVE MEN ARE LOST Checkerboard May Furn- ish Clue to Fate of Schooner SEATTLE, June 1—Fishermen believe that the watersoaked check- erboard found off Banks Island may be a clue to the fate of the schooner Katalla, now missing for nearly one month with a crew of five men aboard. The checkerboard is being brought here for identification by fishermen who knew the Katalla and her crew.
