T0 SEND TWO (Seattle Times) Sailing schedules are being pre- pared by the Arctic Transport Company which will operate two | vessels this year from Seattle to |a wide range of ports in Northern Alaska, it was learned from Ralph | Lomen, president of the company. Mr. Lomen said the motorship | | Sierra, formerly operated in the tuna fishing industry to the Gala- pagos Islands, will sail from San Pedro May 1 and from San Fran- cisco May 5 for Seattle to outfit for the Alaska trade. The vessel will bring case and drum oil and other ‘freight to Seattle. Capt. M. C. Raeber, who will be master of the Sierra, and officers and crew members will leav: Se- attle soon for San Perdo to take over the vessel. Capt. Raeber has been chief officer of the steamship Arthur J. Baldwin of the Arctic Transportation Company. The Sierra will sail from Seat- tle May €5 for a range of poris from Dutch Harbor to Kotzehue Sound in the Arctic after operai- ing She will carry both passengers and freight. The Arthur J. Baldwin will sail from Seattle May 18 for Dutch | Harbor, Goodnews Bay, Nome and st Michael with passengers and freight. She will be commanded by Capt. Edgar G.
