ROBERT YOUNG IS STARRED IN FOOTBALL FILM ‘Saturday’s Millions’ from Story by Lucian Cary | Opens at Capitol Absolute realism was the watch- word in the filming of scenes de- picting a radio interview in “Sat-| y's Millions,” the stirring Uni- versal football drama which comes to the Capitol tonight. Robert Young, who appears as a | college gridiron star in the picture, | spends the night before his team’s most important game of the season in .the home of his sweetheart's millionaire father, and it is here that he speaks over a remote con- trol microphone installed in the house for the occasion When these scenes were made two of the West's best known ra- dio voices were engaged for serv- ice. The radio interview was con- ducted by Sam Hays, famous “‘news reporter of the air,” whose nightly broadcasts are heard all over the Facific Coast, in Alaska and in many far-flung islands of the Pa- cific Ocean. And the announcer | was , John Swallof, official an-| nouncer for all NBS national| broadasts originating on the Pa-| cific Coast. In addition to Young, featured roles in “Saturd: Millions” are played by Leila Hyams, Johnny |Mack Brown, Andy Devine and Lucille Lund, and the picture was directed by Edward Sedgwick.
