Hall, beginning at 8 o'clock. While many reservations have already been made for the party, anyone wishing to come without making reservations can do so with the assurance that there is plenty of room at tables of any of the games to be played, auction and contract bridge, whist or pinochle. Officers and committee of the club in charge of the party, have overlooked no detail which will contribute to the good time to be had by those who attend. At- tractive prizes, both high and low, for all four games will be given away and appetizing refreshments served at the close of the even- ing. MISS DOROTHY CARD WEDS W..J. Phone 412 Salmon Creek Roadhouse SALLY EILERS STARS IN FILM " DPENING HERE {Jame Dunn Is Co-starred with Blond Actress in “Sailor’s Luck” Following their rise to popular- ity as a starring team in such suc- cesses as “Bad Gir',” “Over the Hill” and “Dance Team,” James Dunn and Sally Eilers have been cast together again in “Sailor’s Luck,” the néw Fox film opening an engagement at the Capitol the- ater tonight. The picture, directed by Raoul Walsh, tells the story of a sailor with the Atlantic Fleet who be- comes entangled in a love affair with a girl that's different. The two get along famously until Dunn, thinking she has been untrue to him, quarrels with her amd sails away with the fleet. He later learns that it was all a mistake, and he returns to patch things up, only to learn that she is not so willing to come back. Dunn’s love for Sally Eilers car- ries him through every imaginable sort of excitement, through comedy scenes in a public swimming pool over to a gang-fight on the street and a grand finale in a dance marathon, with the Navy as usual, winning the honors. INJURED MAN LEAVES FOR SOUTH BY PLANE FOR MEDICAL CARE Permission to send Walter A Lersten, ECW employee, to Seal- tle by plane to receive a special- | ist’s treatment for a seriously in- jured eye, was received today from the Federal Compensation Com- mission in Washington, D. C., and | he left here this morning at 11:30 o'clock in the Lockheed plane of the Alaska Air Express, which was chartered for the trip. Others leaving here in the plane were Mike Dizyak, who has been suffering with an injured eye for several months, and will also ve- ceive medical attention in Seatile, and Frank Dufresne. of the Alaska Game Commission, who took pas- sage to Ketchikan. Chet Me- Lean piloted the seaplane and Layrence Anderson accompanied him as mechanic. It was hoped to be able to con- tinue through to Seatfle today in order for the injured man to re- ceive attention as quickly as pos- sible, though due to the late start from Juneau, favorable weather conditions would be necessary to make the entire trip foday, C. V. Hickey, manager said.
