A. Romenseth and Willlam Snyder, purser, arrived in porf at 2 o'clock this morning and docked at the Juneau Commercial Dock: Passengers leaving the motorship here were, Joe Mullen, Rex Mul- len and George Young. Thase making the round trip on the Prince of Wales were Mrs. H. Young, Mrs. Violet O'Brien and Mrs. Ella Hemingway. The motorship is scheduléd to leave at midnight tonight on the return trip to Seattle, making stops at Petersburg, Wrangell and Ketchikan on the way south. SEAPLANE MAKES TRIP TO MEET S. S. NORTHWESTERN To meet the steamer Northwest- ern, the seaplane Baranof, of the Alaska Southern Airways, piloted by Gene Meyring, Chandler Hicks, mechanic, left here at 2 o'clock today for Excursion Inlet. The seaplane was chartered for the trip by the Alaska Steamship Com- pany. The regular weekly trip of the seaplane Baranof with mail and passengers to Chichagof and way ports has been postponed until to- morrow due to the delay of the Yukon with mail from the south. Bernie Wiken, left port this aftzrnoon, The former is en- route to Sitka and the latter to Ketchikan, and they will test with each other and the Signal .Corps stations here and at Ketchikan as they progress. On the Foresier are Regional Forester C. H. Flory and Gall Simpson, Forest Service radio ex- pert. The latter has installed the equipment on the two vassels.
