Junge went the wheie route for the Vets, largely by the grace ol the sluggiug of his teatamates. Th2 Moose were forced to use three hers, starting with Jensen who led little more than two innings, then Cooper for —one and two- irds innings and Jack Schmitz finished it. Every Warrior Hits Every Legion player got at least one hic and some got more. Man-| ring was the big stick artist with & homerun, a long three-bagger and a single in five trips to the plate. Allen got two doubles and a single in six tries, and Runstad, Andrews, N. i, Junge and Boyd collected two each, one of Boyd's being a double. The Legion total was 18 safeties for 26 bases. The Moose made a collection of 14 safe hits. Bob Killewich had a big day with a three-bagger and with two victories and ag out Fraser. Score in Three Frames The Vets made all of their tal- ijes in three frames—the second, third and fifth. Manning’s triple and Roller’s single in the second gave them the first’ run. Allen opened the third with a preity two-bagger to left center. |Worth was safe at first when |Grummett's throw was high to that base, Allen holding second. | Boyd rapped out a double to cen- ter, scoring Allen and sending ‘Worth to third. ‘Andrews’ hard sin- gle to center scored both runners and he took second on the throw- in. Manning shot a grounder to short which J. Schmitz fielded and threw into the bleachers, Jimmy going to second and Andy to third. Roller eased the tension by fan- ning for the first out. Niemi singled to left and Andy and Manning scored, Johnny going !to second, when Fraser booted the ball. Junge walked. Grummett imissed Runstad’s grounder to fill the bags.
