Tom Ness, will take bait’ ahd ice this after- noon. \MRS. F. S. MOORE | FOR general repair work, shingling, PASSES AWAY AT SEATTLE HOME Mrs. F. 8. Moore, mother of Mrs, Earl H. Clifford of this city, died at her home in Seattle last Wednes- day, according to word received by Mr. Clifford. Mrs. Clifford left Juneau by the |seaplane Mitkof on March 16, and caught the steamer Alaska for the south, at Petersburg, in response to a radiogram that her mother was seriously ill, and was with her mother for several days before the end. Berger, to Operate Be- tween Inlet Pogts ' | ‘The Motorship Discoverer, Capt. Heinie Berger in command, arrived | in Juneau this morning from Se- attle bound for Seward. This ship is to replace the “Discoverer” lost in the ice in Cook Inlet last win- ter at Ninilchic, and will operate between Cook Inlet ports. The new Discoverer is 76 feet in length and of 90 tons burden. The boat was recently completed at Se- attle and is modern in every detail. It is equipped with 'a 200 horse power Washington Estep diesel mo- tor and is capable of a speed of 12 miles per hour.
