A -meeting of the Native Parent ‘Teachers Association was held last evening and the follow- ing steps were decided upon: 1—A thorough physical examina- tion of all children of school age and under will be asked for, the findings to be filed in the school, and available to teachers and par- ents. That a similar examination be given the first month of each year will also be asked for. 2—Diatetic sheets for children from 3 to 6 years and from 6 to 9 years furnished by the hospital were 'Tead. A menu within the reach of all was obtained. A typed copy will be furnished zach home and parents will co-operate in fol- {lowing directions. Aid in securing the food will be given if necessary. The children will be weighed each month and development made public at each P.-T. A. meeting. The following committee will aid lin carrying out this plan: Mary Martin, Bessie Wilson, Bessie Weav- ver, A. Rasmussen and Annie Umbertie. The manual training shop has been: opened to the community, the first project being the making of caskets. Six of various sizes are planned. This work will be sup- ervised by James Martin, James Fox, Joe Tassel, Peter Jackson, Frank Hubbard and George Paul Individual projects as cupboards, tea wagons, tables, etc., for the home were discussed. The shop will be open :for this work also. Members of the two committees have been invited to attend the bi-weekly meeting of the school board, teacher and school comm- ittee of the A. N. S. Willilam L. Paul, guest of the evening, highly commended the work of the A. N. B. and A. N. 8, also their co-operation: with the school..
