C, Oct. 3.—As a| result of a 30 per cent increase in | the pricz of whale oil within the | past two months, the whaling in- dustry may see a revival, William Schupp, President of the American Whaling Company, and Consolidated Whaling Corporation, said here. He is from Bellevue, Wash. The risz in the price of whale eil, Mr. Schupp said, came from a shortage of tallow, cottonseed and other vegetable oils. If the shortage is maintained he believes it would mean resumption of the| industry on the Pacific| Coast. The whaling fleet here has been inactive for the past year.
