PHONE 412 MINERS BUSY ON CREEKS IN | IDITAROD ZONE Owners Are Working Their Claims and Reported Doing Well I TFAIRBANKS—Mining operations on all the principal creeks of the Iditarod were detailed to the Fair- banks New iner by Aviator Al Monson on return to Fairbanks from a flight that took him to various parts of the Iditarod area.’ The thland Development Com- pany, Olson brothers and Lind- strom, located about three miles from Flat, installed a new D: drag-line last spring and are work- ing 14 or 15 men. They are re- t|ported to be doing fairly well. Old Timers in District Strandberg has been there since the camp was struck and ow: A lot of ground, much of which is |l2esed out. He and his boys will |{move further up the creek next spring. Walter Sackow and Harry Scott, on Upgrade, have done well anc have four men on the job. Charles Yost and Harold Nash, on the Idaho claims, have four men working for them and are do- ng real well.
