J. Livingston ‘and Purser Paul Coe, called at Juneau last night enroute from Seattle to Skagway. She will be back here from Lynn Canal early Monday morning, and after a brief stay then will sail on her return voyage to Puget Sound, going by way of Sitka with stops at Hawk Inlet and Tenakee. The vessel's freight was of gen- eral character. She brought 11 passengers to this port. They were: From Seattle — Mrs. Anna L. Trees, William Klesinger, Wanda Klesinger, C. A. Eastman, and two ‘sleemgo. From Ketchikan — Mrs. Harry Race, Miss E. Howard. From Petersburg—M. S. Wilson, J. G. Anderson, John Caculich. The Neptune arrived from the local banks with 50,000 pounds of halibut and sold for 4% and 6% cents a pound. The Flint brought 9,000 pounds, Wenterstad 5,500 pounds and both sold for 4 and 7% cents a pound. The Texas brought 15,000 pounds of sable fish to market and sold for 2! cents a pound. She will be back here early 'in August on a voyage that communities to the Westward good condition. The vessel on her has been as far west and north as Hooper Bay, Bering Sea. After having been put in commission at | Seattle, she left there in June with supplies for various schools and hospitals under jurisdiction of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Loaded Coal at Seward On her voyage North, she called at Juneau. On arriving at Seward, |she took aboard 600 tons of coal |that had been delivered from mines nurth of Anchorage. Her voyage |from Seward to Hooper Bay and back to Seward included calls at Nunivak Island, Nelson Island, Bethel, Goodnews Ba Tognak, Nushagak, Dillingham, Kanakanak and Unalaska. At all these places she distributed supplies, including coal, When at Kanakanak, the vessel |embarked children who had at- {tended and two teachers who had | taught the discontinued Kanakanak | schoel. . Some of the children who had parents at ports of call were returned to their home: The others were debarked at Seward for transfer to the Indian School at Eklutna, north of Anchorage.
