CANNED WALNUTS EASILY TURNED INTO SWEETMEAT Many women make a point of ning walnuts at the same time they are doing fruits and veget- ables. During the process the nuts acquire a new deep flavor and are more digestable than in the raw state. They may quickly be converted int oa delicacy by dipping in choc- olate, heated in a double boiler and beaten with a fork. Lift the coated nuts carefully out of the chocolate and place on oiled paper to dry. Peanuts may also be tossed in the chocolate and lifted out by the spoonful, making candy clusters.
