Adults must pay a Faderal tax of 1 cent on every 10 cents, or frac- tion thereof, in the price of a tick- t, where the price of the ticket ex- |ceeds 40 cents, which means |men and women attending either the Capitol or the Coliseum thea- tre, which have dn admission charge of 50 cents, must now pay 55 cents. Loge tickets will he the same price in the future as in the past, 75 cents. Theéy are subject to the Federal tax of 1 cent on every 10 cents or fraction théreof in their price, but the impost will be absorb- |ed by the theatre. In other words, the play houses will pay the tax which is 8 cents on every loge tick- et, thus realizing for themselves 67 cents. Tnasmuch as the prices of admis- sion for children and youths are less than 40 cents, no tax is levied on such admission tickets and their prices, accordingly, will remain in the future the same as they have beeh in the past. The theatre Federal tax is now in force. Tts collection began at| the midnight performances last| night.
