A letter to Mayor Kilburn from Mrs. Charles Hopp, former resident here and close friend of the Stubbins family, stated that Mr. Stubbins had been stricken and was dying in St. Luke's hospital. The letter was "dawd February 26, and since thent no further word has been received For a number of years Mr. Stub- bins had a clothing and dry goods store on Front Street. He is a vet- jeran member of the local lodge of Odd Fellows.
