CITY'S SAVING IN FISCAL YEAR TOTALS $1382 Clerk Submits Report for| Twelve Months End- ing March 31 Twelve thousand, one hundred | eighty-two dollars and fifty cents I.s‘ the net amount that will be saved | in receipts over expenditures by the | city in the current fiscal year, ac- cording to the financial report com- piled by Municipal Clerk H. R.! Shepard. The municipal fiscal year begms“ April 1 and ends March 31. Thcg Clerk’s report sets forth income | and outlay for the ten months be- ginning April 1 and ending January 31 and gives estimates of receipts and expenditures for the remaining | two months, February and March, of the fiscal year. Figures for Ten Months For the ten-month period, re- ceipts totaled $126,509.61, and dis- bursements amounted to $125,635.93, Jeaving a cash balance at the close of business January 31 of $963.65. Inasmuch as there was a cash balance of $631.15 on hand April 1, the beginning of the fiscal year, the net gain for ten-month period ending January 31 was $332.50. The principal part of the fiscal year's saving or $11,850 of it will be effected in the present month and next month. Tax receipts in the near future will be a chief factor in bringing about the result.
