TROLL SEASON WILL OPEN TWO MONTHS SOONER Two months advance in the opening date of the commercial trolling season in Southeast Alaska for next year will be made by the United States Bureau of Fisheries, O'Malley. This was disclosed in an Asso- ciated Press despatch just received by The Empire. The Commissioner ‘sald the trolling season of 1932 would be opened on January 1, in- stead of March 1, as has been the case in years past. This action was taken by Com- missioner O'Malley to aid Alaska in its unemployment problem. It will provide opportunity for work to several thousand fishermen. The Dominion of Canada has opened British Columbia waters to fishing for the month of December for the same reason, said a des- patch fro mOttawa. Orders open- ing the season for the month were issued Monday by E. N. Rhodes, Minister of Fisheries.
