Despite sporadic selling, the clos- ing was firm. Shares dragged the first hour today and again for a time in later trading but recoverad the last few minutes and persistert buying ap- peeared. A miscelianeous assortment of rails were heavy at intervals. Westinghouse closed with a small loss.
