LOS ANGELES, Cal, Oct. 17— Everett Frank Lindsay, arrested here Thursday night in connection with the death of his wife in Seat- tle in April, 1930, is under a close guard in his cell for fear he might attempt to take his life. Tha authorities sought to con- ‘nect him with numerous crimes | against women and girls in South- ern California but he disclaims any such deeds. During 12 hours questioning Lind- say only referred to the murder of his wife and said: “I did it, that's enough.” Lindsay said he beat his wife then slashed her throat as the climax to an argument. He buried the body in a shallow grave dug near the family home. Two Seattle Deputy Sheriffs flew to Sacramento to secure extradi- tion papers to take Lindsay back to Scattle. ————— IS GOING SOUTH Mrs. Helen Carter Skuse is leav- ing on the Alaska for a trip to'the | States. —_— Because of a scarcity of merchan- dise, buyers in Lima, Peru, are com- pelled to pay cash.
