The chief purpose of the vessel's call is to permit her commanding | officer, Albert Nelson, Chief Boat- swin, to appear as a witness in a casz that is docketed for hearing this week before the United States District Court. The boat is ex- pected to sail for Ketchikan Sat-| urday. While at this port officers and crew will receive pay checks for September from the Customs Collector. Officers of the craft, besides the commander, are Boatswain H. R, Stockman, Executive Officer, and Machinist W. L. Moyer, engineer. The crew numbers 23. The Albert is 125 feet long, 23% feet wide and 86 feet deep. She is diesel equipped. Going on winter schedule, the motorship Pacific, Capt. Paul Kegel, left for Kake and way ports this |morning. Calls that she will make on her present voyage include Taku, Speel River, Sumdum, Wind- ham, Five-Finger Light, Cape Fan- shaw, Petersburg, Pybus Bay, Kake, Brethers Island and Gambier Bay. Beginning Saturday, October 10, the Pacific’s weekly departure from Juneau will be Saturday mornings ingtead of Thursday mornings, and her weekly return here will be Wednesdays instead of Mondays. Besides the ports at which she will call this week, she will also call next week at Entrance Island, Turnabout Isdand, Tebenkof Bay and Security Bay. C,, the steamship Prin- cess Louise, Capt. A. Slater, ar- rived in Juneau this forenoon on her way to Skagway. Following a stay of one hour, she departed for her Lynn Canal destination. She is) scheduled to reach Skagway at 7 o'clock this evening, fewer than 72 hours oui of Vancouver. The vessel has 40 passengers and 300 tons of freight for Skagway. Most of the passengers and all of the cargo are destined for Upper Yukon River points. The Princess Louise disembarked six passengers at Juneau. They were: Mrs. Louise Couplin, H. Meier, Maurice Crawford, Jean Leggat, David K. Leggat and Janet Sey.
