AT THE FAIR - Skagway Takes Lead in‘ Native grass, first prize, W. wms Grain and Grass Crop Exhibits Ranchers and truck gardeners have come in for their share of honors and awards at the Fair. In these exhibits Juncau was com- pelled to compete with agricultur- dsts from many other Southeast Alaska points. Douglas, Halines, 'Skagway, Tenakee, Gustavus and the Taku river entered exhibits. Billy Winn took first prize for a male duck, and J. M. Chase for old birds and young birds. The exhibition of fur bearers was limited to a female fox bearing the name “Peaches and Cream,” and her litter of 12 silver blue young- sters, Special mention for these animals went to W. H. Matrett, of Juneau, JUNEAU FAIR The Kiddies' Frolic will take place at the Southeastern Alaska Fair t starting al 2:30 o'clock.
