D. Williams, District Highway En- gineer, left by plane early this morning. He had stops sched- uled at Kake, Wrangell and Ket- chikan. A short stretch of road is deing constructed at Kake by Sawyer Reynolds and Company. Wright Construction Company is about completing a section of Wrangell Highway and the same firm is en- gaged on another project at Ket- chikan. Mr, Williams will go over all of these. D. Donald and Purser Nor- man McLean, arrived in port at 6:30 pm. Thursday from Vancou- ver and sailed for Skagway at mid- night. It ecarried about 90 passen- gers, one for this port, the others {mainly roundtrip tourists. The Prince Rupert is due here and will sail about an hour later.
