Brown and Joan Bennett, will be | shown for the last times tonight | the Coliseum theatre. “Fast Life,” on the screen, and Roamers, a troupe of vaudeville and dra- matic stage players, will be the at- tractions tomorrow night. In “Maybe It's Love,” Brown has |a role that offers splendid oppor- | tunity for his comical talents. Brown recently received a letter from a famous- plastic surgeon in which the latter offered to perform an operation ‘on Brown's funny face and make him quite a hand- some hero. The surgeon guaran- teed to vastly improve every fea- ture of the comedian’s physiog- nomy. [ [ l Wrote Polite Refusal Brown wrote a polite refusal and he is still chuckling over the idea of himself as a movie sheik, And one look at his bank book con- vinces him that he had better stay funny looking. As he says, “There are plenty of handsome boys hanging around this town looking for work but only onc2 in a generation will you find a pan like the one I was born with.” In “Fast Life,” the leading roles are enacted by Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Loretta Young and OChester Morris. Theme of Play Pairbanks portrays a boy accused of a murder he did not commit. Miss Young is his young wife, sec- retly married to him who stands by him to the end. Morris is the guilty boy. This, in brief, is the basis for a story of intense inter- est ‘and power. “Fast Life” was directed by John Francis Dillon. Tt was adapted from the stage play by Samuel Shipman and John B. Hymer.
