SEATTLE, July 22—Two vessels| with 11,000 pounds of halibut ar- rived here yesterday and sold the fish for 4 and 9% cents a pound. PRINCE RUPERT, B. C.,, July 22. —Sixty-four thousand pounds of halibut were sold here yesterday. [COAST BUARD CUTTER ALERT | ORDERED OUT | Sent to Sumner Strait from Ketchikan— Trouble’ Is Reported KETCHIKAN, Alaska, July 23— The Coast Guard cutter Alert was ordered to Sumner Strait last night lafter “trouble” had been reported |over the charred hulk of the hali- but schooner Northern, which burned recently. The halibut schooner Akutan, which rescued the crew of the Northern and brought them to Ketchikan, is reported standing by. The tug Finch of the Finch Sal- vage Company is also repol ‘there in an endeavor to salvag the engine of the Northern for the insurance company.
