The bears were captured near Hoonah by Indians of that place and brought here by local people from whom they were obtained by the zoo. A third cub, taken with them, is expected to be obtained and sent to the same institution. This will give the zoo a fine col- lection of Alaska brownies, as three Kodiak cubs are now en- route there.
