The young men, who expect to obtain work with the Alaska Road | Commission when they reach Nome. |left Seattle April 25. They voyaged | on the motorship Saco from Se- attle to Union Bay, which is about 40 miles north of Ketchikan. At Union Bay they put their ca- noe, equipped with an outboard motor, into the water. The. trip to | Juneau required two weeks. 1 Will Canoe to Skagway | From this city, they will go in; the canoe to Skagway. There they {will put their boat on a train of | the White Pass and Yukon Route and ride to Whitehorse. At Whitehorse, they will resume the canoe method of travel and continue it doewn the entire length of the Yukon River and then from the mouth of the stream across a stretch of the Bering Sea to Nome.
