The bodies of the men were too badly burned to be identified. J. Goins, owner of a garage near the horse show grounds, told the police he had seen a man dart from the building shortly before the fire was discovered. Goins said the man ran across the grounds looking back at the build- ings, then crouched in a nearby doorway. Goins said within a few minutes he saw smoke coming from the buildings and telephoned the fire department.
