The vigor of the final struggle is evidenced by mounting bitterness. The plays and counter-plays of litical debate in the campaign e evidenced by the strong {words of Senator James E. We feel that we did what was right and what the law required, and the only thing we could do and maintain our self respect. @We are at a loss to know what our critics would have had us do. We do not know whether they expected us to join the Democratic Party (which was out of the question for two reasons,—first, because they had a full set of candidates for each office, and second, because we have been nominated as Republicans, and the law requires that our names must be placed on the ballot as Republicans), or to withdraw so that the Democratic can- didates would have an advantage. The latter course for us would have been dishonorable, and such a course would not only have branded us as traitors, but it would have done incalculable harm to the Democratic candidates. “Juneau’s Own Store” Four-Place Stinson Cabin Monoplanes * MURESCO Juneau Paint Store Has just completed the installation of an expensive up-to-the- minute Lighting System direct from Hollywood.
