All members but two, Robt. Bonner and A. F. Gran- berg, were present. According to the report of City Clerk Felix Gray, property taxes {have come in fine and. receipts to date show something over $300 ifh jexcess for the same period last year. But dog taxes haven't come in so good.. A number have paid {for their canines but others have {not. From now on it will be the dog tax or the dog's life, and Mar- shal Bliss has received orders to proceed at once to collect one or the other as a result of action tak- en at the meeting last night. Clerk Gray was directed to have a list of the delinquent property taxes at an early date. Report of the progress made so far on street work and wharf re- pairs revealed that three or four days more of favorable weather will see the wind up of the city dock for the year. Work on the Secand Street bridge is progressing slowly but it is hoped to have it com- (pleted in two weeks more.
